about
"I wrote this song quite a long time ago now. I think it was 1982...or was it '83? In any case, it still seems like yesterday to me. And I still recall the circumstances. I was in a relationship at the time that seemed to question my sincerity, for some reason. I remember thinking how surprising that was to me, since my feelings had never wavered for an instant since we had met. This questioning moment inspired this song. And I guess I wrote it sort of as a "reassurance" to all concerned, and just in case it ever happened again. Love is a wonderful thing. But I guess you sometimes need to make sure loved ones know about it...just in case they don't."
- Jeannie Willets
Note: Currently, this song is available only as a digital download and can be downloaded only on this site. It is very likely that it will be included on Jeannie's up-coming CD, however, which will be available on many other sites, upon completion. The new CD will also be available in digital download format only, although, with enough generous donations for Jeannie's songs offered here on bandcamp, there may very well be a physical CD in the future, as well. Manufacturing costs can be high and, as many know, without the financial backing of a major record label, it can be quite a challenge for independent artists to get together a budget for a new CD to include all of the necessary things to put it into "physical form". So, for now, Jeannie is just anxious and happy to bring you her songs, one at a time, in digital download format, so that they are readily available. Any support you can offer to help Jeannie continue to bring her music to you and to, perhaps sometime soon, get her new CD release into "physical CD form", is most appreciated and Jeannie is forever grateful for all donations of any size that help her to continue to bring her music to you! Thank you so much!
Don't you know by now
How I feel about you?
Don't you know by now?
How could you think that I
Wouldn't care about you?
Don't you know by now?
You should know by now,
You should know by now,
All of the things you mean to me
And all the dreams you are...
Don't you know by now
How I won't live without you?
Don't you know by now?
How could you think that I
Would ever leave now that I found you?
Don't you know by now?
You should know by now,
You should know by now,
You should know by now.
